Our rural and very relaxed pub is simply the perfect place for lazy lunches, drinks with friends, sublime suppers, traditional Sunday lunches and our beautiful sunny Sussex Garden is the perfect spot throughout the summer. We have a genuine affection for our customers, many of whom have travelled with us on our culinary journey starting in Billingshurst back in the summer of 93!

Our lovely front of house team will ensure the friendliest, but discreet service and love nothing more than a bit of banter and catch up on what you have been up to.

Nick and his talented team are committed to producing some of the best food in the area and pride themselves on using fish landed daily on the South Coast, Native Lobsters and Oysters from Colchester, Meat & Game from local suppliers and Fruit and Veg from our friends at T&G Fruits in Brighton.

We change our menu on a regular basis, and we ensure we don’t cut corners but maintain the freshest, local ingredients possible. Whist we love to showcase some great new dishes, our pub classics such as our Curries, Fish and Chips, Lobster and Steaks, will always remain.

Sunday lunch is a tradition with us, and we firmly believe in it being a family affair – although sometimes without the family is equally special! Our menu features classic starters followed by superb traditional roasts. Nick ensures that we always use the best beef and loves to age it for a while to make sure the flavour is at its best. And as for those Yorkshire Puddings and Cauliflower cheese!!!
